Portrait Commissions
For those interested in commissioning a portrait work, the basic process is as follows:
1) Client will submit several pictures of the subject, preferably from different angles.
2) Phone or in-person consultation with client to determine specific details of piece.
3) Work will begin on your piece - depending on how many other projects are in process at the time, this initial step will take between 1-3 weeks.
4) Client will be asked to view piece for approval or to suggest any changes they wish to be made prior to firing. Any additional changes will take up to 1 week. If changes are made, a second viewing for approval will need to occur prior to firing. Deposit of half the total amount will be required prior to firing.
5) Drying phase prior to firing will take 2-3 weeks depending on size.
6) Piece will be fired, then patina will be added per client's request. This process will take 3-5 days.
